Sculptural 18th century Italian hand-carved, figurative crossbones mounted on fossil rock coral base.

The 18th century crossbone fragment originally came from a historical church in Italy. It was once part of the foot of a crucifix. It is mounted on the coordinating fossil rock coral which emulates the color of the middle of the crossbone. The piece is put together by Jean O'Reilly Barlow, the artist and founder of Interi. The date of manufacture reflects when she transformed the piece and the period shows that the fragment is originally 18th century.

Together, the elements create a gothic, historical, and organic work of art.
