Gilded Mecca Tassel (M261)
18th century Italian mecca gold-leaf tassel ornament with the original hook. The gilded tassel has naturally distressed over time which creates a beautiful patina to the tassel.
The tassel originally came from an Italian church in Tuscany and was used during feast days. Each one is hand-carved and gilded and can be configured into a holiday ornament and decorations to recreate a Rococo-style Christmas.
