18th century Italian hand-carved and gilded large putto (angel bust) with aragonite and baroque pearls. It was once part of a heavenly, angelic depiction in a historical church in Tuscany.
The piece is adorned with aragonite crystals. The aragonite is from Mexico and has many different formations. This type of aragonite specimen in particular emulates a cloud which compliments the 18th century Italian gilded angel. The baroque pearls coordinate with the gilded angel artifact and enhance the aragonite crystals.
The Italian angel has been joined with the natural elements to create a sculptural work of historic and organic significance.
*A metal hook is attached to the piece in order to be hung on a wall.
