Sculptural 18th century Rococo Italian gilded leaf fragments with quartz crystals on a selenite slab.

The Italian fragments original came from a historical Italian church. It is adorned with quartz crystals and mounted onto the selenite slab. Selenite is a transparent mineral that is a form of gypsum. It was used to create the windows of the Santa Sabina Basilica in Rome, Italy during the 5th century, hence the name "Window Pane Selenite."

The elements create a unique piece of old and new. The chic and sleek mineral specimen combined with the Italian fragment creates a historical yet contemporary work of art. Rococo meets organic modern.
