The Italian 18th century gilded base is originally from an altar candlestick from a historical Italian church. The plaster angel is hand-made and adorned with the fossil agate coral wings which coordinate with the fragment base. The base is encrusted with the polished agate to appear as if the piece evolved together over time.
Together, the elements create a figurative, sculptural work of art.
