Pair of 18th century Italian dancing angels with coordinating baroque pearls on aragonite crystal clusters.

The dancing angels are hand-carved wood, polychromed and gilded, originally from a church in Tuscany. They each hold a coordinating baroque pearl cross and appear as if they are floating on aragonite crystal clouds. Aragonite is a mineral formed by biological and physiological processes, including precipitation from marine and fresh water environments. A coordinating, naturally formed baroque pearl highlights the gilded wood with its natural gold tones and rests at the foot of each angel.

The Italian artifact angels have been combined with the natural elements to create a historical, organic sculptural pair, appearing as if the evolved together over time.
