Hand carved, 18th century, Italian gilded angel wing mounted on an aragonite mineral emulating a cloud. The wing is adorned with natural forming baroque pearls that coordinate with the carved feather detailing. The shades of the pearls complement the colors on the wing that have been distressed due to age. 

The angel wing was once part of an angelic depiction in a historic church in Italy, this is signified by the two pearls creating a cross on the aragonite cloud. The aragonite is originally from Morocco and known for its particular type of crystalized formation. 

Together, the angel artifact combined with the natural elements create an organic and historic work of art. All coordinating as if they evolved together over time.
