Gilded Church "Pompom" with Tassels (M265)

18th century Italian hand-carved gold leaf 'pompom' tassel. The 'pompom' tassel originally came from an Italian historical church in Tuscany and was used to decorate ecclesiastical lighting features and other elements. These are incredibly rare to come by and can't be found anywhere else. There are 7 matching tassels hanging from the carved wood hanging fixture.

The historically significant and rare gold leaf 'pompom' tassel can be used for many different design purposes. It can adorn and drip from large ornate chandeliers or can be a statement piece in its own right.
