Circular polished agate slice with natural forming pearl.

Agate is formed within volcanic rock, creating colorful and complex varieties of banded chalcedony and crystal quartz; a process that can take millions of years. This piece in particular showcases a uniquely wide, crystalized center of translucent, white quartz surrounded by layers of multiple warm brown tones. A natural forming pearl has been included, coordinating with the outer layers of the agate.

The piece is put together by Jean O'Reilly Barlow, the artist and creative director of Interi. The natural elements have been combined creating a piece that appears to have evolved together over time.
