Pair of 17th century Italian hand-carved, silver leaf angels from a church in Florence, Tuscany. The angels stand on three unique forms of coordinating mica from North Carolina. Surrounding the dancing feet of the angles are loose, large flakes of mica standing on a naturally formed sedimentary rock with mica in matrix supported by a flat sheet base of reflective mica.
The Italian angels have been put together with the natural elements to create a historical, organic sculptural pair.
