18th century Italian hand-carved angel wing mounted on a calcite crystal cluster and adorned with citrine points and joined with an angel head or "Putto". A Putto is a cherub figure frequently appearing in both mythological and religious paintings and sculpture, especially in the Renaissance and Baroque periods. The hand-carved angel wing was once part of a heavenly, angelic depiction in a historical church in Italy.
The Italian angel wing and putto has been put together with the natural elements to create a sculptural work of old and new - creating a figurative and historically significant work of art.
