18th century Italian candlestick with amber and aquamarine points on an aquamarine base. The candlestick artifact is originally from a church in Tuscany. It is hand-carved and hand-painted with evergreen and pale green pigments, and orange undercoat showing through. The colors of the candlestick perfectly coordinate with the aquamarine and amber.

The Italian church artifact and minerals are put together in a sculptural form - creating a piece that appears to have evolved together over time. Interpreting the past to create a piece entirely original, evolving in its own right.
