18th-century Italian candlestick decorated with free-forming glass and baroque pearls on an Italian glass bobeche base.
The 18th century candlestick is from Tuscany. It is hand-carved and hand-painted with brownish-red metallic paint. It is placed on an Italian bobeche base. Hand-molded freeform glass is mounted on top with coordinating baroque pearls.
The Italian candlestick artifact, free-formed glass, baroque pearls, and bobeche are put together in a sculptural form - creating a piece that appears to have evolved together over time. Interpreting the past to create a piece entirely original, evolving in its own right.
