19th century Italian painting of Mary and Jesus on canvas with barite, selenite blades, scolecite, green aventurine, and aragonite and framed with 18th century Italian floral fragments and a large 18th century Italian gilded Rococo pediment crown.

This historical piece embodies the traditional Baroque style of paintings with its jewel-tone color palette and in the depiction of Mary and Jesus as a baby. There is a signature of the original artist on the bottom of the painting with the year completed (1874). The wooden back has been placed onto the original frame of the preserved canvas painting to uphold the piece and the giltwood crown. The 18th century floral fragments perfectly mimic the lilies in the painting along with the barite, selenite blades, and scolecite. Any aspects of the painting that showed age or distress have been adorned with the rare gems and minerals.

This painting has been joined together with the elements to create a sacred and historically significant work of art to grace any wall or space.
