18th century Italian gilded rose fragment with crystal quartz and mounted on an optical calcite base. The flower fragment originally came from a larger decorative fragment artifact in a historical Italian home or church. It is gilded on one side and painted red and green on the other side. The crystals have hues and specs of green and red that perfectly coordinate with the fragment artifact and look as though the flower has been crystalized over time.
The elements are joined together to create a figurative, organic, and historically significant work of art.
