18th-century Italian candlestick top, with polished agate coral and a baroque pearl.

The 18th century candlestick top originally came from a candlestick from a church in Tuscany. The agate coral perfectly coordinates with paint on the candlestick top.

Agate coral is Florida's state stone and is known for its unique formation that can take place over 20 million years. It's a natural gemstone that is created when coral is gradually replaced with agate. These then go through a 48-hour polishing process to achieve the effect.

The Italian church candlestick top artifact, baroque pearl, and agate coral are put together in a miniature sculptural form - creating a piece that appears to have evolved together over time. Interpreting the past to create a piece entirely original, evolving in its own right.
