18th century Italian hand-carved gold-leaf angel holding a torch with a Himalayan diamond flame and a coordinating naturally formed baroque pearl.

The Himalayan diamond takes the place of a candle, which originally would have lit a great room or alter of a historic church in Italy. Despite the similar sparkling brightness and clarity, these "diamonds" are actually found as doubly-terminated crystals from the foothills of the Himalayan mountains near the borderlines of Tibet and Nepal.

The Italian angel has been joined with the natural elements to create a sculptural work of organic and old. Together, the pieces create a contemporary yet historically significant work of art.
