17th century Italian hand-carved angel with applied cactus quartz crystals resting on coordinating calcite crystals in matrix.
The angel artifact was once a part of a cornice in an Italian historic baroque church. The details of the angel have been recreated with the coordinating cactus quartz crystal points, also known as spirit quartz, and mounted on the calcite matrix.
The Italian angel has been joined with the natural elements to appear as if they evolved together over time, creating an organic sculptural work of old and new.
