Pair of late 18th century Italian hand-carved, gilded angels with instruments on aragonite clusters with coordinating Italian hand-carved wood fragment bases.
The carved angels and bases are originally from a church in Tuscany and have been naturally distressed with age. The aragonite crystal clusters have applied highlights of gold and coordinate with the distressed layered pigments of the artifacts.
The applied gold of the aragonite with the Italian artifacts have been put together to create a historical, organic sculptural pair, appearing as if the evolved together over time.
