18th century Italian angel wing on a calcite crystal cluster and an antique candlestick drip pan tray.
The gold leaf, distressed angel wing is originally from a church in Umbria. The wing sits on coordinating calcite crystals from Elmwood Mine in Tennessee which is known for producing some of the world's finest crystallized calcite.
The Italian angel wing, calcite crystal cluster, and antique candlestick drip pan tray are put together in a sculptural form - creating a piece that appears to have evolved together over time. Interpreting the past to create a piece entirely original, evolving in its own right.
